Artist Statement

As my illustrative work has developed I have found myself chasing contrast and pushing it to its limit——both visually and metaphorically. The organic and inorganic, masculinity and femininity, sexuality and religion. I aim to create pieces that create a dialogue, a conversation, narrative. For me, art is a medium for storytelling, and helps to connect us to ourselves and each other. Through my work I aim to make art more accessible to the public, to add flair and humor to the daily life, and to hopefully spur food for thought.
